Cell state
Besides the goods it holds, every cell carries a small state record that the system maintains and that warehouse operations consult. The operator sees it on the cell card in the client app — the Inventory state («Стан запасу») section. Two things live there: the cell's count status, and the blocks that limit which operations may touch the cell.
Count status
The Inventory status («Статус інвентаризації») field tells whether the recorded stock of the cell can currently be trusted:
- Count required («Потрібна інвентаризація») — something has put the recorded quantity in doubt, and the cell should be counted. Cycle counting relies on this status: a marked cell goes for counting at once, ahead of its interval.
- Count completed («Інвентаризацію завершено») — the cell has been verified by an inventory count. The date of the last count is stored alongside in Last counted at («Остання інвентаризація»), so it is always clear how fresh that verification is.
What sets Count required:
- a planned relocation closed with an unfulfilled remainder — every source cell that still had unmoved stock gets the status (see Relocation statuses);
- cancelling a completed count that was scoped to that single cell — the count takes its verification back with it (see Count statuses);
- picking closed without finding a line in the cell.
What sets Count completed:
- a completed inventory count that fully covers the cell — scoped to a single cell or a storage area, with no owner narrowing; the cell's last-count date is recorded at the same time (see Adjusting stock and reporting).
A document never overwrites an existing Count required status with another Count required — the earliest doubt stays on record. For audit, the section also names the document that changed the status — the Document type («Тип документа») and Document («Документ») fields — and the moment it happened (Inventory changed at, «Інвентаризацію змінено»).

Blocks
A cell can be blocked for specific kinds of work:
- putaway block — the cell accepts no new goods; putaway planning skips it when choosing destinations;
- picking block — goods cannot be taken from the cell;
- full block — no operations touch the cell at all.
For every block the system records who set it and when — the Blocked by («Заблокував») and Blocked at («Заблоковано») fields next to the block itself. Separately from these manual blocks, an active inventory count takes its covered cells out of normal work automatically — that block needs no one to set or lift it and disappears the moment the count completes (see Count statuses).
