Container movement events
The movement log records everything that happens to a container. The important thing to understand before reading it: most entries are not made by anyone pressing a button. Receiving, picking, sorting and packing all write to the log as they work. Only one event — a move — comes from someone deliberately transferring a container.
Each entry names the event, where the container went, which document caused it, and who recorded it when.
Created (CREATED)
The container entered a process. Receiving writes this entry when it registers a container against a receipt; picking writes it when a container is registered for a picking task.
Moved (MOVED)
The container was transferred to another cell, or handed to a carrier. This is the one event an operator produces directly, from the client app or from the terminal.
Nested (NESTED)
The container was placed inside another container. This happens during sorting and packing, as smaller units are consolidated into larger ones. There is no "nest this container" command in either app — the event appears because a process did it.
Unnested (UNNESTED)
Reserved. The event is defined, but no process currently records it, so you will not see it in the log.
Closed (CLOSED)
A process finished with the container — its contents are settled and nothing more is expected to go in.
Reopened (REOPENED)
A closed container became workable again. This happens automatically when a container arrives at its plan cell and that cell is a packing or sorting area — it is how those stations receive their work.
Where an event comes from
Every entry names the document that caused it.
- Receipt — a receipt registered the container or recorded goods into it.
- Picking — a picking task took the container into its work.
- Container Transfer — someone moved the container deliberately. This is the source you see against a move you made yourself.
- Wave — a picking wave drove the container through replenishment, sorting or packing.
