Delivery plan statuses

A delivery plan groups one or more outbound orders for a single vehicle or trip, and tracks them from being assembled to leaving the yard. On the client the plan is the dispatcher's planning-and-monitoring surface; the hands-on loading is recorded on the handheld terminal. The status bar at the top of the plan is partly informational: the dispatcher advances the plan only between the first two statuses (Draft and Ready to Load); the later two are set by the system once loading is confirmed on the floor. Status labels match what the operator sees on screen.

Draft (DRAFT)

The plan is being assembled. The dispatcher sets the warehouse, shipping zone, car number, and planned ship date, and adds the orders to load — choosing the order they will be loaded in. Orders can be added, removed, and reordered only in this status. This is the only status in which the plan is editable.

Transitions out: Ready to Load once the plan is ready (a shipping zone must be set first).

Ready to Load (READY_TO_LOAD)

The plan is finalised and handed to the floor for loading. Its list of orders is now locked — no orders can be added, removed, or reordered. The dispatcher can still send the plan back to Draft to make changes.

Transitions out: Dispatched once loading is confirmed; or back to Draft.

Dispatched (DISPATCHED)

Loading has been confirmed and the goods have left. The system records this status — it is not set by hand from the client. As the plan is dispatched, its orders move to Shipped or Partially Shipped, and the plan's execution snapshot shows what was actually shipped against what was planned.

Transitions out: Closed.

Closed (CLOSED)

The plan is finished and archived. Nothing further can be changed. Terminal.
