Outbound order statuses

An outbound order is one customer's request to ship goods. Its status tracks how far that order has travelled from "just created" to "shipped" — including how it sits inside a wave. Status labels match what the operator sees on screen.

On the order's status bar the main steps run Draft → Pending → In wave → Not planned → Fully planned → Shipped. The Fully planned and Shipped steps each carry a caret (▾) that opens their partial variant — Partially planned sits under Fully planned, and Partially shipped under Shipped.

Draft (DRAFT)

The order is still being composed and is not yet ready to be planned. Editable.

Pending (PENDING)

The order is confirmed and waiting to be put into a wave. It can now be selected when building a wave.

In wave (IN_WAVE)

The order has been added to a wave but the wave has not yet generated pick work for it.

Fully planned (FULLY_PLANNED)

Every line of the order has been turned into pick work by the wave. Nothing is left unplanned.

Partially planned (PARTIALLY_PLANNED)

Some of the order's quantity has pick work; the rest could not be planned — for example because stock was short.

Not planned (NOT_PLANNED)

Outbound order status bar — Not planned highlighted

The order is in a wave but none of it could be turned into pick work yet.

Shipped (SHIPPED)

The whole order has left the warehouse. Terminal for a successful order.

Partially shipped (PARTIALLY_SHIPPED)

Part of the order has shipped; a remainder is still outstanding.

Cancelled (CANCELLED)

The order was cancelled and will not ship. Terminal. What happens to reserved, picked, or already-shipped stock when an order is cancelled — and how single lines are cancelled — is covered in Cancellation.
