Picking statuses
A picking document is one unit of pick work. It can be generated by a wave, planned directly from an order when waves are off, or created by hand for a manual issue. On the client it is a monitoring view — these statuses show how far each pick has progressed. The work itself is executed on the handheld terminal (except unplanned picks, which can be recorded from the client). Status labels match what the operator sees on screen.
Draft (DRAFT)
The pick has just been generated by the wave, before the wave is launched. It is a brief internal step — the pick does not reach the handheld terminal until the wave is launched.
Planned (PLANNED)
The wave has been launched and the pick is waiting to be worked. It lists what to pick and from where, but nothing has been picked yet.
In progress (IN_PROGRESS)
Picking has started and some quantity has been recorded against the document. The pick can still receive more.
Completed (COMPLETED)
The pick is finished. Unlike a relocation, a picking document has no separate Partially Completed status: if a pick is closed with less than its planned quantity, it still ends here, in Completed — the unpicked remainder is simply left out of the result. Terminal.
Cancelled (CANCELLED)
The pick was cancelled and will not be worked. Terminal.
